Blackfin Installed

Anyone who has every been boating knows there is a good chance you could hit something because the lower unit and prop are the lowest point and you can't always see whats infront of your foot. Breaking a skeg or cracking a lower gearcase is costly not to mention destroying a $500-$700 stainless prop. Until now the only product on the market was simply a cover to hide the damage while offering no protection or performance features. The Blackfin Skeg is a seemless virgin nylon 6 composite installed with a flexible urethane adhesive. The impact is absorbed by the composite and then into the flexible adhesive shown in the (How Tough) video. The Blackfin can also replace a broken skeg but the most noticable feature is the added side surface area which increases the steering sensitivity. No more sawing at the wheel because you literally have a bigger rudder. When docking or trailering you no longer have to throttle up to get the boat to respond. The Blackfin is sacrificial in the case of extreme impact the Blackfin may be destroy but the lower unit and prop are saved. Thats a $90 insurance policy that will save you thousands as shown in the redfish video. It can be installed in the driveway in 15 minutes and save you alot of money and heart.
